Open Call | Artist Residency/Short term Studio in Working Artist Studios
Local, national or international artists: all are welcome to apply for a residency in WAS!
Working Artist Studios (WAS) have 2 studios available for short term residency or studio rent, from 1 week to up to 1 month. They are located on the second floor and are perfect for working on a specific project or if one needs dedicated time away from distractions. All studios have natural daylight, high ceilings, shelves/cupboards, and 24hour access.
The studios are suitable for a variety of art forms, including writing & poetry and are particularly suitable for visual artists. We are keen to facilitate interactions between artists and the community.
Availability: May – December 2022
Applications will be reviewed on an ongoing basis until spaces are filled.
Our 2022 rates are €63 per week. Each studio benefits from:
– 24-hour access via your own set of keys
– Space for hanging work and some storage space (individual lockers, shelves…)
– Kettle, tables, easels and adjustable lighting
– 1 bathroom shared between the 2 studios
– All utilities included in the price (electricity, water, WiFi, central heating)
– Good privacy
– A south facing window is present in each studio, allowing for natural light, sunlight and ventilation
– Approx size of studios is 12′ x 8′ and high ceilings (9′ high)
– Social media promotion
Please note: there is no living accommodation included in the studios, artists must arrange this for themselves. We have ongoing relationships with a couple of places locally that we can direct artists to.

– Please indicate how long you would like your residency to last and what would be your preferred period.
