We are delighted to invite you to WAS for a special event on Nollaig na mBan. 5.00pm 6th January 2023. It is the exhibition of Marie Loviny’s beautiful botanical paintings for the new Brown Envelope Seeds perpetual calendar. The calendar and the 2023 seed catalogue (their biggest yet!) will be launched and available on the night. The exhibition will run until the 28th January.
Marie Loviny, came to Ireland from her home in France in 2016. Having studied landscape design in France, she continued her education in Kinsale College and works for Brown Envelope Seeds. She has been illustrating the Brown Envelope Seeds catalogue since 2020 and created a perpetual calendar in 2022. She has had several successful exhibitions of both her botanical and landscape paintings. She was instrumental in starting the Sunday market in Baltimore where she sells the things she loves: her vegetables; delicious prepared edibles, such as pesto; and of course, her art. She lives in Baltimore with her cats Colette and Salem.
Brown Envelope Seeds are based in Turk Head, West Cork. The first catalogue was produced by founder, Madeline McKeever in 2004. All the seed varieties are grown on their farm. They are certified organic by the Organic Trust Ltd.
