We are delighted to invite you to come along and join us for two new films, which will be running on a loop from 2.00pm on Saturday 27th April.
The first one is a stop/motion film by Jikke Lesterhuis, called, “Body Blindness” which delves into human behaviour within the dynamic of a rapidly changing world. The story draws inspiration from classic works such as the tale of Faust, the ideas of Marx, the literary works of Kafka and mythological narratives. A central theme for Jikke Lesterhuis is her deep-rooted fascination for movement and a reference to man’s relationship with nature. Duration: 6.30 min
Body’s Blindness is the result of an artist residency at Working Artist Studios, here in Ballydehob.
The second film, Port Béil : Mouth Music is by Paul Ó Colmáin and Colm Rooney and features four, mountainy brothers, who have a drop of the poitín and start to dowdle and dance! It was chosen as part of the Fastnet Film Festival, which will take place at the end of May. Duration: 3.oo mins.
