A group of five artists quintessentially appreciative of their West Cork environment are showcasing their “work-in-progress” at the Working Artist Studios. The essence of this event demonstrates the collective mind of five women with diverse backgrounds and a variety of skills.   There is an overwhelming sense of community, of artists working together, artists who are exploring, experimenting, reflecting each other’s skills and thoroughly enjoying their creative journey.
This exhibition showcases the work of these enthusiastic students.  The art is imaginative, creative, well-researched and the enthusiasm is palpable. The work is, as usual with this course, thanks to the fine teaching of Aisling Roche and Paula Marten, of a very high standard, with a strong emphasis on drawing skills. These are artists with conviction and talent. Congratulations to all concerned.
